At Ramanu Systems, we stand behind the quality of every module we ship. If something isn’t right with your order, we’ll make it right. This policy explains how returns, refunds, and exchanges work for products purchased through our website (ramanusystems.com).
1. Return Window
You may request a return within 30 days from the date of delivery. Returns requested after 30 days will not be accepted.
2. Conditions for Return
To be eligible for a return, the product must meet the following conditions:
- The module must be unused and unsoldered — no solder residue, flux stains, or bent header pins.
- The product must be in its original antistatic packaging with all included accessories (header pins, documentation, etc.).
- A valid proof of purchase is required — your order number, order confirmation email, or payment receipt.
- The product must not show signs of electrical damage, ESD damage, or physical abuse (burn marks, cracked PCB, scratched IC markings).
3. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or refund:
- Modules that have been soldered, modified, or integrated into a circuit.
- Products damaged due to incorrect wiring, reverse polarity, or overvoltage applied by the customer.
- Products damaged due to electrostatic discharge (ESD) caused by improper handling.
- Items purchased more than 30 days ago.
- Products with tampered or removed IC markings.
- Bulk or custom orders (10+ units or custom specifications) — unless defective.
4. How to Request a Return
To initiate a return, follow these steps:
Step 1: Email us at contact@ramanusystems.com with the subject line: “Return Request – Order #[your order number]”
Step 2: Include the following in your email: your order number, product name and quantity, reason for return, and photos of the product showing its current condition and packaging.
Step 3: Our team will review your request and respond within 2 working days with return instructions and the shipping address.
Step 4: Pack the product securely in its original antistatic bag and ship it to the address provided. We recommend using a trackable courier service (India Post Speed Post, Delhivery, DTDC, or BlueDart).
Step 5: Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your refund or exchange.
5. Refund Process
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you via email about the status of your refund.
If approved:
- Refunds will be credited to your original payment method (UPI, credit/debit card, net banking, or wallet — whichever was used during checkout).
- Refund processing time: 5–7 working days from the date of inspection.
- Your bank or payment provider may take an additional 3–5 working days to reflect the refund in your account.
- For UPI payments (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm), refunds typically appear within 2–3 working days.
If rejected: If the product does not meet the return conditions listed above, we will notify you with the reason and ship the product back to you at your cost.
6. Shipping Costs for Returns
- Defective or wrong product received: We will cover the return shipping cost. You will receive a full refund including original shipping charges.
- Change of mind or buyer’s remorse: Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
- We recommend insuring your return shipment — Ramanu Systems is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit during return shipping.
7. Damaged or Defective Products
If you receive a product that is damaged during shipping or is defective out of the box, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:
- Your order number
- Clear photographs of the damage or defect
- A photo of the outer packaging (to help us file a claim with the courier)
We will arrange a free replacement or full refund at your choice — no questions asked. We take manufacturing defects seriously and every module is tested before dispatch.
8. Exchanges
We offer exchanges for:
- Defective products — replaced free of charge, including shipping.
- Wrong product received — replaced free of charge, including shipping.
- Different variant (e.g., different output voltage) — subject to availability. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility; we will ship the replacement at no extra cost.
9. Order Cancellation
- Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placement for a full refund, provided the order has not already been dispatched.
- Once an order has been handed over to the courier, it cannot be cancelled and must follow the standard return process.
- To cancel an order, email us immediately at contact@ramanusystems.com with your order number.
10. Partial Refunds
In certain cases, a partial refund may be granted:
- Products returned with minor signs of handling but still in resaleable condition.
- Products returned without original packaging or missing accessories.
- Products returned after 15 days but within 30 days of delivery — a 15% restocking fee may apply.
11. Warranty
All Ramanu Systems modules come with a 6-month manufacturing defect warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers:
- Components failing under normal operating conditions (within rated specifications).
- Solder joint defects or PCB manufacturing faults.
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage from incorrect use, overvoltage, reverse polarity, or ESD.
- Normal wear and tear.
- Damage caused during soldering or assembly by the customer.
To claim warranty, email us with your order number and a description of the issue.
12. Consumer Rights
This policy is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 of India. Nothing in this policy limits or overrides your statutory rights as an Indian consumer.
